The decision is based on, “everything happening in the world at the moment, in terms of design, fashion, art, news, travel and more.” This year’s choice is Ultra Violet (18-3838), demonstrating “originality, ingenuity, and visionary thinking.”

Do you want to incorporate Pantone’s COTY but do so in a mild manner? Pick up some home accessories in shades of purple. Grab some pillows, blankets, flowers, candles, lamps, etc. to add an attractive on-trend look.

This requires more of a permanent action but adding a soft watercolour print to your walls can make a bedroom seem more relaxing. Add a contemporary feel by painting one wall in a room a shade of purple, making it an accent wall for that timeless feel.
